History of the journal
Beginning with no. 35/1992, of the scientific Bulletin of the Cluj-Napoca Polytechnic Institute, edited since 1958, will continue to appear under the new name ACTA TECHNICA NAPOCENSIS, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.
This message has appeared in Romanian and in English by the year 2002, on the same page with the College editorial office. The magazine enjoys a good name and good reputation has both in country and abroad, as seen from the list of works and of Xerox copies of the file.

Since 1992 the scientific Bulletin of IPCN was divided into 4 separate magazines, each has a name and serial number ISSN assigned, with an Editor of the series. One of these represents ACTA TECHNICA NAPOCENSIS, Series: Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, ISSN 1221 – 5872, series editor: Prof. Dr. Ing. Mariana ARGHIR is being unchanged since 1992. Each article has a summary in English, and at the end of each article is article title and summary in Romanian.
Important changing: Starting with the first issue of the jounal in the 2014 year it was transfromed it in ACTA TECHNICA NAPOCENSIS, Series: Applied Mathemaits, Mechanics, and Enineering having the same ISSN.
In 2007 the journal was named by CNCSIS in category B, the situation in which the magazine has its own web page, and in 2009 became class B +, with registration in the database world COPERNICUS. In this moment the journal is indexed in the five International DATA Bases: Index COPERNICUS until 2009 (The Impact Factor I know from IndexCopernicus in the 2009, 2010, and 2011 years. They are: 4.18 for 2009; 3.89 for 2010, and 4.39 for 2011), DRJI (Directory of Research Journals Indexing) from 2011; Journalseeker, who gives the 2.573/2012 IF; OCLC WorldCat from 2012; SJIF (Scientific Journal Impact Factor), who gives 2.896/2012 IF.

7) Editorial Office of the College shall select two members by the editor of the magazine, which have the competence of the scientific survey for a certain job. A reviewer gets printed paper. The reviewer is not allowed to do notes on paper. Each of these read the original article, after which completes a form, which contains headings: Title of book, author (s), 1; In what consists the originality of the work, 2; The scientific level on a scale with 5 levels, 3; Observations on the form of presentation, 4; If can be proposed for publication, Date, Signature.
The two reviews are made in a range of 30-45 days of receipt of the article, and the reviewers give the forms to the Chief Editor.
