MODELING A STAGE OF A MULTISTAGE CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSOR: THE BLADES’ THICKNESS EFFECT OF AN IMPELLER AND A DIFFUSER

Abstract


The article analyzes the design features and general modeling of the centrifugal compressor stages. Based on the analysis, the main tasks for modeling a centrifugal compressor designed to operate in the subsonic range of gas velocities are formulated. The aim of the work is to develop a model of a centrifugal compressor based on the proposed method of thermogasdynamic calculation with an extended determination of the number of the thermogasdynamic and design parameters of the centrifugal compressor in each of its stages, as well as to determine the optimal thickness of the impeller and diffuser blades.
