TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC STUDY ON MAXIMIZING THE WORKSPACE AND DETERMINING THE MANUFACTURING COST OF THE 3RUU PARALLEL MANIPULATOR

Abstract


The paper presents both a technical study on maximizing the workspace of the 3RUU spatial manipulator (based on the influence of its constructive parameters) and an economic study on determining the manufacturing cost of the manipulator, happily combining notions of robotics and economics in an interdisciplinary study. The 3RUU parallel structure studied is made of duralumin, equipped with stepping motors, gearboxes and a parallel port board for computer control of end-effector trajectories.
