FAILURE RISK ANALYSIS IN THE CASE OF AN AEROSPACE MANUFACTURING COMPANY USING COMPOSITE MATERIALS
Abstract
The paper proposes a conceptual framework to assess the organizational risks that influence the activity of a manufacturing company producing components for the aerospace industry based on composite materials. The specificities of this niche domain are taken into consideration while performing the risk identification in terms of technological and quality issues, environmental threats, supply chain and organizational aspects and interactions with the well-developed regulatory framework in the field. A set of indicators developed by the Interreg DTP DanubeChance2.0 project to predict complex issues such as business difficulties, insolvency and possible resilience failures is applied in this case and the results are discussed in detail.
