RISK ASSESSMENT OF INDUSTRIAL INFRASTRUCTURES UNDER THE SPECIFIC OUTCOMES INITIATED BY EXPLOSION MATERIALS
Abstract
The manuscript presents a concise overview of the findings derived from research conducted in the domain of simulating the hazards posed by debris from explosive charges, which are propelled towards workers or industrial targets during tests at explosives testing facilities. In this context, American scientific methodologies have been adopted, notably the FRMS (Fragment Risk Mitigation System) approach, aimed at enhancing the capabilities of specialized software designed for the safety assessment of explosives, such as IMESAFR (e.g., Version 2.0). The improvement process involved the utilization of various probability functions tailored to this specific domain, referred to as Probability Density Functions (PDFs), to effectively represent the graphical and analytical aspects of the phenomenon when debris from explosive charges is ejected.
