Abstract


In dynamic airport environments, optimizing asset management and operational flow is a major challenge. This study evaluates the performance of ESP32-C6-DevKitM-1 BLE gateways for real-time localization using RSSI analysis to monitor BLE beacons. Empirical tests, simulating airport operational zones, examining RSSI values under Line-of-Sight (LOS) and Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) conditions, varying distance, Tx Power, and environmental factors (interference, obstacles). The research also explores the optimal placement of gateways for reliable coverage and location data collection. Security and robustness of BLE IoT infrastructure in high-security public spaces are discussed. The article highlights the potential benefits of BLE for improving airport management, security, and passenger satisfaction in the context of digital transformation.
