Abstract

In this paper, we carried out an experimental study on determining the elements that damage the trunk of the olive tree during mechanized harvesting of olives. For this purpose, we used an experimental stand, which can change the shaking force as well as the amplitude depending on the diameter of the trunk. Thus, we were able to optimize the force, which lead to a reduction of the damage caused to the trunk, in the contact area with the shaking equipment.
