OPTIMIZATION OF MEMS STRUCTURES USING CUCKOO SEARCH ALGORITHM

Abstract


The results of MEMS structures optimizations using the meta-heuristic algorithm called Cuckoo Search are presented in this paper. Two optimizations were conducted: one on a microbridge and the other one on a microcantilever. The aim of the optimizations was to obtain the optimal geometric dimensions of the considered MEMS structures in order to minimize the maximum bending stress.
