ANALYSIS OF THE CARBON FOOTPRINT FOR THE MILLING PROCESS

Abstract

This paper aims to compute the carbon footprint in a milling process. The research behind it consists in carrying out four experimental tests. Each test analyses how the carbon footprint is influenced by some of the parameters of the milling process and whether they have a positive or negative impact on both the process and the carbon footprint. In experimental tests, the material used is steel which is milled by a CNC machine, and the CO2 emissions released from the process are measured by a CO2 detector.
