A STUDY ON TRAINS SERVICE FOR MODERN RAILWAY MAINTENANCE IN EUROPE

Abstract


The system currently used for track maintenance works in Germany is inconvenient and risky for the involved employees. This article analyzes the disadvantages of the current approach and presents a new system (a modern service train), highlighting the results of a test conducted in 2021. In addition, the article offers an overview of the positive effects on workforce security, also showing what its further development might look like.
