ANALYSIS AND ALLOCATION OF DIMENSIONAL TOLERANCES USING GeoGebra SOFTWARE
Abstract
For mechanical products one of the features that define products quality is the existence of dimensional chains (DCs) whose closing dimensions meet the design requirements, respectively fall within the desired tolerance range. The paper presents a software program for calculating the tolerances for the 3D, 2D and 1D dimensional chains. This program helps to check the tolerances initially allocated and, in the event that they are unsatisfactory, the initial tolerances shall be modified using the proportional reduction method, or other tolerances shall be allocated in accordance with the coefficient of transfer of the component dimensions and a weighting factor on the costs regarding the tolerances achieving. The verification of the tolerances is done by the Monte-Carlo method.
