READINESS FOR INDUSTRY 5.0: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS BETWEEN GERMANY AND ROMANIA

Abstract


Industry 5.0, which highlights the combination of human intelligence with advanced technology to build a more equitable, sustainable, and balanced industrial environment, has become an appealing concept. The main goal of this research is to determine, to some extent, the readiness of the Romanian and German companies to adopt Industry 5.0 and to evaluate the possible advantages and potential challenges of this transition. The questionnaire was primarily focused on specific measures of digital maturity, innovation capacity, and organizational readiness. The results show that the successful adaptation of Industry 5.0 is dependent on several factors, including the implementation of digital infrastructure, strategic workforce development, broader socio-economic readiness, and the alignment of innovation with social and ethical values.
