ALGORITHM FOR AUTOMATED MODELING OF A MACHINE VISE

Dimka VASILEVA, Maria KONSULOVA – BAKALOVA, Iva STOYANOVA

Abstract

Due to the variety of different types of technological equipment, each of which has multiple configurations, the modeling of a fixture is time – consuming and expensive, because they do not appear in the standard libraries of modeling software. The type of fixture that is under consideration is a machine vise. The main goal is to create an algorithm for automated modeling of it, in a CAD area. The algorithm is developed for the use of engineers to quickly update and expand their digital libraries, as well as to timely adjust the generated models to the assemblies. After that the models can be used in systems, where predicting failure of manufacturing is minimizing cost and time of  production.
