MACHINE LEARNING AND PREDICTIVE ALGORITHMS FOR DIAGNOSING ANOMALIES IN ELECTRIC MACHINES

Ionut-Cătălin MUNTEANU, Emil CAZACU

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) are of particular importance in electric motors. “Artificial Intelligence” refers to the competence of a machine to resolve certain actions autonomously (without human involvement), such as recognizing certain patterns, predictive maintenance, optimizing the performance of the electric motor. By using AI, electric motors could be supervised and adjusted in real time, making them more efficient and safer.

The focus of this study is to bring to our attention the most important means of Artificial Neural Networks for the detection of these issues that appear in the functionality of the electrical motors.
