Cristina-Maria BĂTUȘARU, Aurel Mihail ȚÎȚU, Nicolae MORO

Abstract

Emerging technologies are increasingly transforming the defense sector, not only in terms of military capabilities but also through their economic implications. This paper investigates the economic dimension of emerging technologies in the defense sector by applying a bibliometric analysis of the scientific literature indexed in the Web of Science database. Using the bibliometrix package in R Soft and its Biblioshiny interface, the study maps publication trends and thematic clusters related to investment, markets and industrial impact. The results highlight dominant research streams and reveal existing gaps, offering a structured overview to support future research and policy development.
