History of the Journal
Beginning with no. 35/1992, of the scientific Bulletin of the Cluj-Napoca Polytechnic Institute, edited since 1958, will continue to appear under the new name ACTA TECHNICA NAPOCENSIS, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.
This message has appeared in Romanian and in English by the year 2002, on the same page with the College editorial office. The magazine enjoys a good name and good reputation has a both in country and abroad, as seen from the list of works and of Xerox copies of the file.

ACTA TECHNICA NAPOCENSIS SERIES: APPLIED MATHEMATICS AND MECHANICS 1992 to CONTINUE
Since 1992 the scientific Bulletin of IPCN was divided into 4 separate magazines, each has a name and serial number ISSN assigned, with an Editor of the series. One of these represents ACTA TECHNICA NAPOCENSIS, Sesies: Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, ISSN 1221 – 5872, series editor: Prof. Dr. IOng. Mariana ARGHIR, being unchanged since 1992.
Each article has a summary in English, French or German, and at the end of each article is article title and summary in English, and finally it has a title and an abstract in Romanian.
In 2007 the magazine was named by CNCSIS in category B, the situation in which the magazine has its own web page, and in 2009 became class B +, with registration in the database world COPERNICUS.
The fields are: 1A Mathematics; 1B Informatics; 2A Mechanical engineering; 2F Industrial engineering
